So I’m back from Maryland. I went to see the University of Maryland, Carnegie Mellon, and Johns Hopkins while I was out there. All of them seemed to be pretty nice schools. University of Maryland was fairly similar to the U of I both physically and academically; the campus was very nice but also a bit large. Their stadium is way bigger than Memorial stadium though. Carnegie Mellon seemed like a strong technical school, but it seems like it might be a bit too focused, more of a graduate school-type atmosphere. Campus was also a bit small, but it was in a nice part of Pittsburgh. Johns Hopkins was having a lot of construction. The downtown Baltimore campus is separate from the renowned medical school. The arts department is also at a separate location. This separation made the selection of classes on campus a bit limited.
Ugh, this has reminded me that school starts in a week. I still need to finish A Hope in the Unseen too….
