ISYM was pretty cool. Lots of good music. It’s kinda weird though, only getting to play in a band once or twice a year. We played two marches, which is what really threw me, since I haven’t played a march since ISYM last year. Hussaria Cavalry Overture, which the director comissioned, was really awesome. Too bad we’re the second group to play it and there aren’t any (good) recordings of it.

Off to band camp this week. Lunch is going to be something like noon to one, so it’s likely that I’ll be at the Union. If anyone wants to meet there for food and/or video games, feel free.
More specific info might be here tomorrow.
1st: Accelerated Calculus I
2nd: English
3rd: Japanese IV
4th: Computer Programing (I might ask to switch into Orchestra, I guess.)
5th: Physics A
6th: Introductory Physics (I’ll probably just stay in one of these sections for the whole year.)
7th: U.S. History
8th: P.E.
Also, Jazz Band.
Hm, I seem to have lost my post. Oh well. I didn’t get to do everything I wanted to at the disorientation picnic (primarily getting my yearbook signed) since my mom took me home at like 1:45. Whatever. The iMac is now in pretty good shape, and I’m going to try to set up the PC as a VNC-only box. That could be interesting; I think I’ll have to actually get it on a Ethernet network instead of the 802.11b connection it’s on right now. It’s not particularly responsive. Anyway, screenie is here. Watch out, it’s pretty big.
I’m posting this from my newly set up iMac G5 20". It’s getting a bit late, and I still have some stuff to configure, so I’ll say more tomorrow I guess.
Math final was terrible. However, I think as long as I get a D (as in don’t fail), I still get a B for the quarter. Maybe Mrs. Jockush will curve it? Seems possible, given how many of us did badly. I kinda forgot to switch from degrees to radians for that one sinusoidal equation problem. And thus didn’t get any parts past the first one right. Also, the exam as a whole was way too long. Whatever. English went pretty well. I wrote about two pages on the essay and then a full page on the dialogue. ID’s were fine. Might have lost a couple points on the vocab, not sure. That was satisfying. Luke got done in like 25 minutes though…. How much could he have written on those essays? I suppose he didn’t even have to think about the ID’s.
Chemistry and Japanese tomorrow, and that’s it for sophmore year. Both should be reasonably easy. I guess my chemistry grade is a borderline as well though. Japanese I don’t know what I have for the quarter, but the final won’t be bad, I think. I’ll be sure to watch plenty of anime in preperation for Japanese final. :)
Whatever, no pre-emptive comment moderation anymore. I finally figured out how to turn it off… Not as if I got spammed a lot here.
